Appointments

When you wish to book an appointment the receptionist will ask for brief details of your symptoms or why you require an appointment. This is so we can get you appointed to the most appropriate clinician at the earliest opportunity. On occasions it may be necessary for a clinician to call patients back for full triage, patients will then be appointed with the most appropriate clinician. This could be a nurse, GP, nurse practitioner, mental health & well-being nurse, physiotherapist or occupational therapist. We still use a number of telephone appointments, but face to face are available with the GPs at their discretion. We appreciate your co-operation in this matter.

We offer some appointments in advance and reserve some for on the day only. To make an appointment telephone Pitlochry (01796) 472558 during office hours (after 8.30am). It is not possible to make an appointment outside office hours or at the doctors’ homes.

Please make a separate appointment for each person wishing to see the doctor.

The partners would appreciate it if all children aged 12 and under are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

You will be registered with the practice and you may make an appointment with any of the doctors. It is sometimes difficult for the doctors and nurses to keep to their schedule due to unforeseen emergencies or problems in the surgery - every effort is made to keep appointments to time.

If, however, you feel you have been waiting for an unreasonable amount of time, please speak to one of the reception staff. Should there be the likelihood of a prolonged unforeseen delay, patients will be informed by the reception staff.

Urgent Appointments

If you require an urgent appointment, please telephone Pitlochry (01796) 472558. Urgent cases will always be seen promptly but it may not always be possible to see the doctor of your choice. Reception staff will ask for some detail of your illness, this is so the GPs can prioritise, please provide as much relevant information as you can, the staff are trained to deal with these calls.
